Do What Jesus Did
BIG IDEAS & CLASS SCHEDULE
Click below to see the dates for the Do What Jesus Did classes and an overview of what each class is all about.
CLASS 1: Becoming A Spiritual First Responder
Jesus often found Himself in high-stakes situations that required a "first responder." We see time and time again Him taking charge in these situations with the authority that God gave Him. That authority has now been transferred to us. So if you find yourself in a tense moment and wonder "who's responsible here?", the assumption should be that it's you. You are not a spectator in these moments. You are God's representative.

CLASS 2: Lead Like Jesus
There were many times when Jesus could have lifted Himself up in the eyes of others, but He never did. Instead, He became the perfect example of servant leadership, always building up the Father and those around Him instead of Himself. The tone and tenor of our leadership needs to emulate His.

CLASS 4: Practical Prayer
When praying for others, sometimes we get caught up in praying for symptoms rather than the root cause… Sometimes we're scared to pray for others at all. It's time to get practical with prayer.
ACTIVATION
ACTIVATE: In service, we’ll create a moment for you to pray with people.
PRAY: Commit to daily prayer, in your natural prayer and prayer language. Here are some prayer focuses:
The person you prayed for in class today.
Church pastors.
Spouse and family.
Hedge of protection.
God’s will to come to pass in your life.

CLASS 6: The Demonic
We need to recognize that sometimes spiritual forces are affecting peoples' behaviors or actions. Demons are real, and they will attack people. We need to learn to identify this type of activity at work, so that we can properly use the authority from Jesus over these spirits.
ACTIVATION

WATCH: Table Talk - Sharing Your Faith
JOURNAL & PRAY: Look for how the enemy may have worked in your family history, and renounce that in your life.
OPTIONAL: If you know a missionary, have a 1-on-1 conversation with them to ask, “What’s your experience with the demonic?”
CLASS 7: Apologetics Part 1
Apologetics is learning to defend your faith. One day, you'll be in a conversation with a person who has questions about your faith or has beliefs that are different than yours. It's important in that moment that you can explain not just what you believe, but why you believe it.
ACTIVATION
In an upcoming class, we’ll be doing Socratic Circles. Pastor Zack will assign you topics to research, so you’re prepared for that day.

CLASS 8: Shepherding Well
Whether you're in vocational ministry or not, we all find ourselves in positions where others are leaning on us for practical and spiritual advice. This is the way God designed it. The Bible says that God has comforted us, so that we may comfort others. However, there's a danger here that people can become dependent upon us and not God. When we shepherd well, we lead people to rely on Him to deliver them.
