CLASS 1:Foundational Principles of Christ
As we embark on our discipleship journey, there are foundational truths that we must center our lives on. These guiding principles become the framework for our faith, orienting our lives toward what mattered most to Jesus … and that’s people.
ACTIVATION
JOURNAL: Ponder each of the six foundational principles. Think about the moment that you saw each of these activated in your own life. Or, if you haven’t seen some in your life yet, do some research. Write down questions, read, and think about it.

CLASS 3: Hearing God’s Voice
God desires to lead us into the plan He for our lives. He does this by speaking to us in various ways. Therefore, it is essential that we learn to recognize, listen, and respond to His voice.
ACTIVATION
JOURNAL: Stay attentive to what the Inward Witness is telling you, even if you’re not 100% if it’s God. As long as it’s in love and align with the Bible, just do it. Then, journal about what happened.
RESPOND: Before next class, look back at your journal and see how many times God has spoken to you. Recognize His love and care for you and those around you. Come prepared to share one example with the class next month.
PRE-WORK
READING PLAN: Book of Romans
BIBLE PROJECT VIDEOS: Romans 1-4 & Romans 5-16
CLASS 4: Living Sacrifice Part 1 (Living Free From Sin)
The enemy doesn’t want us to live out God’s plan for our lives. He doesn’t want us to hear His voice. Instead, he's always looking to steal, kill, and destroy. He does this through sin. Let’s learn what sin is, how it impacts us, and how to overcome it.
ACTIVATION
READ: Psalm 139:23-24
PRAY: Ask the Lord to search your heart and show you any sin in your life that you need to confess and repent.
RESPOND: Be bold to activate this step in your life by confessing and repenting to both God and man, as shown.
JOURNAL: Write down the results. What does this victory in your life feel like?
PRE-WORK
READING PLAN: 1 Corinthians
BIBLE PROJECT VIDEOS: 1 Corinthians
CLASS 5: Living Sacrifice Part 2 (Fasting & Disconnecting)
The world is full of distractions and weights that also hold us back from God’s plan. The constant clanging drowns out the voice of the Lord. Let’s learn to live a lifestyle of fasting, disconnecting from the world and making room for a growing relationship with God.
ACTIVATION
EVALUATE: Evaluate if there is an area of your life that you can disconnect from and replace with intentional time with God.
READ & JOURNAL: Read Matthew 14. Notice what Jesus is going through in this chapter. Notice the needs of the people and His desire to disconnect to spend time with God. Journal about similar times in your life. How did you handle it? What was the impact? Is there anything you would do different now?
PRE-WORK
READING PLAN: 2 Corinthians
BIBLE PROJECT VIDEO: 2 Corinthians
CLASS 6: The Love Walk
The Old Testament laws that nobody could keep have been fulfilled in Jesus. And He has given us a new commandment - to love. As we grow in our understanding of God’s perfect love for us and experience it overflowing in our lives, there should be a natural outflowing of that love toward others. Walking in this type of love also reveals God’s glory to the world, brings us closer to His heart and gives the devil no room to operate in our lives.
ACTIVATION
1 CORINTHIANS 13 EXCERCISE: Replace “love” with “I or your name” and see what fits.
PRE-WORK
BIBLE READING PLAN: Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians
BIBLE PROJECT VIDEOS: Galatians, Ephesians, & Philippians
CLASS 7: Prayer
Prayer is simply communication between us and God. There are many different aspects of prayer from simple worship to petitioning all with the purpose of drawing closer to Him. When we fellowship with God we enjoy His presence and make tremendous power available in our everyday lives.
ACTIVATION
PRAY FIRST: Take the “pray first” challenge (1 Thessalonians 5:16) by simply taking a few seconds to invite God into each moment of your day.
WATCH: School of Prayer Video Series
PRACTICE PRAYER: Begin to incorporate the Prayer Wheel (12 focus areas) into a daily dedicated prayer time. You don’t have to start with using all 12 but select a few each day to begin to structure your prayer time. Journal afterwards about any positives or negatives you experience as a result. Come next prepared to share any wins from this!
PRE-WORK
BIBLE READING PLAN: Colossians, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, & Titus
BIBLE PROJECT VIDEOS: Colossians, 1 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians, & Titus
CLASS 8: Praise & Worship
For many of us, the only example of praise and worship we ever experience involves a stage, a church building, and a worship leader. But what really is praise and worship? As we search through scripture together, we will discover that praise and worship is so much more than a song. Praise is expressing gratitude to God for all of His blessings. Worship is an intentional choice to lay down our desires and submitting to God’s will. Put together, these create an exchange of love between us and Him.
CLASS 9: Sabbath
Physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, life will wear us down. When we don’t follow the Biblical example to rest, we can become depleted, and our love walk suffers. The regular setting aside of time to stop producing and to rest in relationship with God isn’t optional in our lives, it’s essential.
ACTIVATION
DEVOTIONAL: Pick a week before our next meeting to read and complete the Sabbath Devotional.
ACTIVITY:
Read Galatians 5:22-24.
List each fruit of the spirit.
For each, evaluate yourself on if you: frequently see it in your life, sometimes see it in your life, or never see it in your life.
If you’d like to, have the closest person in your life (spouse, friend, parent, etc.) evaluate you. Look for perception differences.
Go to God and ask Him to show you why any particular fruit isn’t flourishing.
PRE-WORK
BIBLE READING PLAN: James, 1 Peter, & 2 Peter
CLASS 10: Community, Relationships, & The Body
God’s design for us was never to live life alone. His desire for us is to be an active part of the community of believers known as the church or the body of Christ. The church is not simply a gathering of individuals. It’s a family made up of interdependent relationships each with unique roles but a shared mission. As we discover our place in the body, build healthy relationships and sacrificially serve one another, we not only help to accomplish this shared mission, but we also position ourselves to fulfill God’s purpose for our lives. This is why it’s important for everyone to get planted in the church.
ACTIVATION
BUILD RELATIONSHIPS: If you’re feeling disconnected from the church body, make an uncomfortable first step – consider getting some coffee or a meal with someone in the church. If do feel connected, find someone who IS disconnected and grab a coffee with them.
PRE-WORK
BIBLE READING PLAN: 1 John, 2 John, & 3 John
CLASS 11:Your Testimony — How have you drawn near to Jesus this year?
When we share how God has actively been working in our lives, it not only reminds us of how far we’ve come, but it also encourages others in their faith.
