CLASS 1: Positioned For Maximum Impact

You may have discovered throughout your walk with God that it is not always easy. He designed it this way. Our tendency is to try to live life and fulfill His purposes in our own strength which we quickly find is inadequate. But when we know who we are IN CHRIST, God’s anointing and power come to full effect.

ACTIVATION

JOURNAL: Spend time journaling. Answer these questions:

In what areas of my life am I living beneath these positional truths?

What corrections should be made?

CLASS 2: Baptism of The Holy Spirit

Jesus promised us that when He left, He would baptize us with the Holy Spirit. Separate from our salvation, this experience fills us with his spirit giving us power to fulfill the Great Commission.

ACTIVATION

PRAY: Pray in your prayer language every single day for the next month. Find your trigger/moment that will remind you to pray in your prayer language. (Ex: Every time you walk up the stairs, every time you get in the car, every time you wake up in the middle of the night, etc.)

JOURNAL: What daily distractions are preventing you from using your payer language more in your life?

CLASS 3: Spiritual Gifts Pt 1 (Overview & Inspiration Gifts)

At the moment of salvation, spiritual gifts are deposited into every believer as God chooses. These gifts are for the benefit of the body of Christ and to draw others to Jesus. There are 3 gifts that say something - we call them the “Inspiration Gifts.”

CLASS 4: Spiritual Gifts Pt 2 (Power Gifts & Revelation Gifts)

At the moment of salvation, spiritual gifts are deposited into every believer as God chooses. These gifts are for the benefit of the body of Christ and to draw others to Jesus. There are 3 gifts that do something - we call them the “Power Gifts”. There are 3 gifts that reveal something - we call them the “Revelation Gifts.”

ACTIVATION

Please recognize that this is only an overview of the 9 Spiritual Gifts. 1 Corinthians 14:1 says to pursue love and desire gifts. If you want to understand these more, desire them in your heart, and activate them in your life, here is more content for you to go deeper. Know that God can use all of these gifts in your life, as He wills.

READ: Finish Believer’s Authority

CLASS 5: Hangout

This class is simply relational! Your group will go get breakfast together before church. (Or do something else that your group leaders choose.)

CLASS 6: Judging Prophecy

In the church today, we need the spiritual gifts, including the gift of prophecy. We should encourage the use of these gifts, but while there are genuine expressions, there are also counterfeit versions that creep in. Sadly, counterfeit prophecies mislead many, causing division, confusion, and ultimately a crisis of faith. Others reject prophecy altogether out of fear and skepticism. But neither need to be the case. As we’ve learned, the Bible clearly defines what prophecy is and the purpose of it. In this class, we’ll learn how to properly judge it.

ACTIVATION

  • READ: Seven Steps for Judging Prophecy by Kenneth E. Haggin (Hill City purchased these for you.)

  • READ: Continue reading Believer’s Authority

CLASS 7: Suffering

Many in the church are confused about the subject of Christian suffering. We must understand the difference between the example of Christ in suffering and the substitution of Christ in suffering. As our example, Christ showed us the areas where we will endure trials, tribulation, and persecution. In the areas where He was our substitute, He suffered so we wouldn’t have to. When we fail to understand the difference, we’ll claim authority over areas where we’re called to suffer, and we’ll accept persecution in areas where we’re called to victory.

ACTIVATION

  • READ: Finish reading Believer’s Authority

  • JOURNAL: What might a lack of Christ-like suffering in your life say about your faith walk?

CLASS 8: Believer’s Authority

Whether you know it or not, God gave all authority over heaven and earth to Jesus. In order for the Great Commission to be fulfilled, he delegates some of that authority to us. This month we’re going to learn about what authority is, what’s included in the authority he’s given us, and why he gave us authority.

ACTIVATION

  • EXERCISE: Personalize Ephesians 3:14-19 to you. Everywhere it says “you” put your name or “me.” Pray this over yourself habitually.

  • CONSIDER: Where are you not utilizing the authority Christ gave us?

CLASS 9: Spiritual Warfare

Every Christian is engaged in spiritual warfare whether they know it or not. Your mind, your flesh, and powers of darkness are continually trying to pull you from the heart of God and His plan for your life. Too many times, we either ignore it or overemphasize it, falling into the ditch on either side of the road. We must learn the basics of spiritual warfare and be prepared for the battles ahead.

ACTIVATION

  • ASSES: Assess your life. Have you unwittingly opened any doors to Satan? Put on your armor of God and close them.

CLASS 11: Stewardship

The Bible says, “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.” For the advancement of His kingdom, the Lord has entrusted us with some of His possessions to steward. Stewardship is simply managing the possessions of others. This means that all the gifts, talents, possessions, and abilities we possess are for His Kingdom. We each need to evaluate our lives to see where we are holding onto something as our own that God is asking us to release. Because according to Jesus, how we manage what God has trusted us with is a measurement of the condition of our heart.

ACTIVATION

RESOURCES

  • The Blessed Life by Robert Morris

  • Leading On Empty by Wayne Cordeiro

  • Financial Peace University (Course by Dave Ramsey to help your finances)

CLASS 12: Forgiveness & Offense

Hurt is the space between what we expected to happen in a situation and what actually did. This requires healing, and healing comes through forgiveness. Forgiveness is a choice. When we choose not to forgive, a bitter root of resentment and anger takes hold inside of us. This root can choke out the work of God in and through our lives, ultimately leading to bondage. But when we do choose to forgive—although it’s a process—this bitter root dies, and we’re able to walk in freedom.

ACTIVATION

  • NEXT STEPS: Continue on with your hurt list. Reach out to a leader, pastor, or counselor if you’re still struggling or need help with next steps.

This class will focus on simple tools to aid us in this lifelong journey.
